Loyiso will be the last act of the amazing Nokia Comes with Music party bus tour of 2009!

What more than Cape Town ROCKS can I say! We had another awesome day at the V&A Waterfront yesterday with Ashtray Electric performing for the last time with us! They are one of the hottest bands South Africa has today and we loved having them on tour with us all the way up the coast, they entertained young and old! Thank you guys!

Today is our last day of the 2009 Nokia Comes with Music party bus tour and we are excited and can’t wait for the day to kick-off. The guys from Mix n Blend band will start the festivities at the bus at 11:00 and then the act we have all been looking forward to since we planned the bus tour – LOYISO – he will be closing off the tour with a live performance at 14:00 for everyone who visits us at the V&A Waterfront! We could not have asked for a better ending to a hugely successful tour and I hope that everyone in Cape Town will come out and spend the day with us!

There are still loads of FREE goodies and MUSIC tracks up for grabs at the bus as well as the GUARANTEE that today will be another phenomenal day with the crew, our performers and the brilliant weather that we’ve had in the Mother City.

I can assure you that we will get you into the right spirit for your New Year’s Eve celebrations!

This is an early wish, but from myself (your #CwM updater) and the party bus crew, we wish you a HAPPY NEW YEAR and may 2010 be the best year yet – filled with joy and fun and most importantly loads and loads of MUSIC. Be safe out there tonight and I look forward to updating you in 2010 on the latest and greatest local and international music!

Don’t miss the action today, I can promise you that you will be sorry to have not seen Mix n Blend and Loyiso perform on the final day of the Nokia Comes with Music party bus tour! See you there… http://music.nokia.co.za/comeswithmusic

The V&A Waterfront is rocking with the Nokia Comes with Music Party Bus

We had an incredible day at the V&A yesterday, amazing crowds joined us at the Nokia Comes with Music party bus, Mix n Blend and Ashtray Electric did not disappoint at all! We will be back at the V&A again today, bringing great music, entertainment and loads of goodies for everyone to enjoy.

It is our 2nd last day of the tour and we could not have asked for a better ending. The weather in Cape Town is just perfect and it bodes well for our grand finale on Thursday when we finish the tour with a special performance by Loyiso at the V&A – it promises to be a very memorable end to an awesome tour of the coast line of South Africa.

Ashtray Electric will kick off the day on stage at 11:00 with Mix n Blend doing the 15:00 live performance. This is the last time that you will be able to see the guys from Ashtray in action with us and you can’t afford to miss the show!

Today’s FREE MUSIC tracks that will be given away by the guys and girls at the bus will be Ashtray Electric’s ‘Quite Overstared’ and Mix n Blend’s ‘Shall We Swing’ (feat. Fletcher.) You can hear previews of these tracks from Nokia Music Store’s latest Podcast Episode at http://www.nokiaconnect.co.za/news-release/14/sa-s-hottest-bands-tour-with-the-nokia-comes-with-music-party-bus;jsessionid=58A6FF8CC59782818C7C7B402E547BE8.tanis_jboss

The support we’ve received on tour for all the bands and our activities has been overwhelming and we hope that today and tomorrow at the V&A Waterfront will be the best days yet, judging by yesterday’s crowd, I am sure that Cape Town will be the leader of the pack when it comes to the number of people who visited the Nokia Comes with Music party bus over the holidays!

Come and join the fun at the V&A… http://music.nokia.co.za/comeswithmusic

King Buyelekhaya Dalindyebo Annexes South Africa

In the wake of convictions on criminal charges such as murder and assualt, King Buyelekhaya Dalindyebo of the abaThembu has carefully considered his options and, rather creatively, has come up with a brilliant solution to his pending incarceration: annex South Africa! King Buyelekhaya Dalindyebo gave formal notice to the Presidency, parliament and the NPA that following his humiliation at the hands of the High Court of Mthatha and the South African Media, he and his people – loosely estimated at 10 million – will be leaving South Africa, so to speak.

Now lets start with the basics, like who is this entertaining chap? Well he is the Mandela’s tribal chief (ouch) and he was convicted on various serious charges perpetrated against his community like murder, assault and kidnapping. And as to the annexing bit, I must appologise for my sensationalist header; he really is only annexing 60% of South Africa including parts of Gauteng (Johannesburg), KwaZulu Natal (Durban), and parts of the FreeState…and parts of the Eastern Cape – and oh yes, parts of the Western Cape like the beachfront property in Camps Bay.

Notice how he cleverly avoids any area that is economically insignificant like the desert for example although, to best of what I recall from Grade 3 history, he certainly has a better claim to the Karoo than Johannesburg . This is what is so interesting from a legal perspective: clients are always telling you the most amazing tales and fully expect you to put that version to the Judge without any consideration as to actual proof because he is obviously a moron who is going to believe whatever you say…suffice it to say this is not entirely the case. Who really needs proof anyway, right? “Yes your Lordship, Johannesburg could be construed as historically a Bantu area, however prior to the 1300’s…” Let’s stop that right there because this probably won’t reach actual trial stage.

Did I mention that the King also expects R 80 billion in compensation as well as fully expecting the Government to foot the bill for annexing our country. Only in South Africa :-) Well not entirely, remember Tibet? Still, we win for entertainment value and for further entertainment have a look at The Star and The Daily Dispatch
